So, how do you guys stay up late in the studio ?
I have sick ass ideas for a track, i really need time to put stuff together and make new sounds, but unfortunately i have work in three hours -_-, so i was thinking why not just work on the track throughout the night? ive tried in the past but i tend to fall asleep and have NO drive at all to produce, its weird. So my question is what do you guys do to stay up throughout the night ?

Too messy. Blueberries, grapes, cherry tomatos - they work a lot better. Can just have a bowl next to me to dip into whenever.

Yerba mate, nutrition (keep your blood glucose level relatively stable), and Vyvanse.
Seeing as how the third is only obtainable legally with a prescription, I would say your two realistic options are yerba mate and healthy, spaced out snacking. However, yerba mate alone does work wonders. Look it up.

The head shop near my house has one of those 25 cent candy machines filled with jolt gum so I grab a handful or two of that. You can also go to the store and get some 16 oz bottles of pepsi max for 99 cents. They have the same amount of caffeine as a can of red bull but cost way less. Also if you have an adderall prescription that can do wonders.

5 hour energy shots work. If I wasn't already adhd and prescribed adderall I might try that. That's what all the college kids use for overnight finals cram sessions but it just makes me normal, so maybe not taking my dose would work. Not at all condoning illegal drug use btw, but it's literally pharmaceutical grade amphetamine and I've heard it gets ya "motivated" without the nasty side effects of street speed. And apparently it doesn't have that intense crash the next day. But yeah try an energy shot

I second the whole fruit and fresh water thing. BANANAS!! They're really high in fibre and take a while to digest and so release a steady boost of energy for quite a while, thats why tennis players always have bananas at hand! True story. (honestly).
I also find once you get lost in the sound hours litterally fly by, all to often my cue to pull away is when its beggining to get light. I wouldn't recommend anything like MDMA/anphetamines e.t.c. as you'll be way to scetched out to actually do anything, plus it really screws over your work flow, and of course i wouldn't be condoning any kinda use of anything like that
Purely natural shit is always the best way, makes you feel the best you can be and keeps your mind clear, clean and sharp. fruit, sugary stuff (sweet fruit tea is wicked for this), water, smokes if you smoke, tea/coffy if thats your thing (in moderation). You gotta keep the sustenance up and ur head on your shoulders. Vibe yourself out with some tunes that really get you goin, take breaks and read DSF, watch tuts e.t.c.
