I've played with both a bit. Both powerful synths but never grabbed me personally. In albino try layering different digital waveforms and over sarurating the filters. The mod matrix is a very nice feature and the onboard effects are good as well. Also remember you can simultaneously layer multiple patches within the layer matrix which pops open at the bottom. If not dirty enough after that mangle with external effects and resample. Blue sounds great and is deep but I honestly have only used it for a couple leads and pads so can't help ya there.

yea saturation is always turned up. i can get really really good saw synths out of it so far with FM and AM modulation. blue is prolly my favorite but i just started using it a couple weeks ago. richsaws and vintagesaws are awesome.

You can get some pretty mean sounds out of Blue if you work with it a lot. I actually prefer it to massive or fm8 for filth. This tutorial helped me a lot in understanding the capabilities it has:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSb5rkBGO50 From there, you can tinker around and make some pretty gritty stuff like the basses used in this at 2:30
http://soundcloud.com/viberous/ride-or- ... rous-remix (sorry for the shitty mixdown and self-plug, but I remember having this same question!) Good luck!

if you use albino3 right, you can get some pretty nasty basses, i use it for every sound i make man. triangle at8" +2 octaves, sawbass3 vintsaw2 both at 8" -2 octaves with slider midway between and square3 at16" and down 1 octave and use ASDR to get the wobble rather than an LFO and pow, instant kromestar sound.
