Check this thread out. They'll help you figure it out, if they haven't already made it, haha.

FM synthesis. If you got Sytrus, I can make you a patch.

Not meaning to be a douche or anything but surely even you can recognize that this is not helping him to learn.Brisance wrote:FM synthesis. If you got Sytrus, I can make you a patch.
He`s just going to rinse and repeat.

Re: How to make this screech sound
Actually, you're right.
So here's just some guidelines.
Use a sine wave osc as your output. Modulate with a weird waveform, tweak the waveform and the frequency to get the desired timbre. Add a slight, but fast LFO to the modulator. Stack a chorus on top. Add a slight pitch envelope to the start, and you're off. Ofc eq to taste.

Hey Guys.. I to was on the hunt for this lead.. This is the closest I have gotten so far, I'll share and maybe others can fine tune. I'm new at making sounds with massive and if anyone cares to improve and share maybe you can also post what you did so that we can learn from that.

Re: How to make this screech sound
This is rather old thread my man... Anyway you don't need to use FM synthesis for these kind of sounds, Massive will do just fine. I'll edit this post with a patch in a minute and explain what I did...
/edit
Right, I had it and then the DAW crashed... Anyway what I want you to do in Massive is the following. Devote one instance to high end "screech" and one instance to the lower part of the sound. For the high part, play around with formants, REALLY fast pitch modulation (with an LFO) and FX like reverb and very tiny amounts of chorus/flanger. For the low part, keep it relatively simple; go with a sub and some low mids, find a nice gritty wavetable and lowpass it.
Good luck!
