I Forgot How Much I Love Absynth

Was having some daw troubles and was testing out older projects. Came across a few from when I was getting back into Absynth and the patches sound really cool and organic. I'm so tired of the boring "DURR I MADE DIS ON A COMPUTORZ" digital sounding saw/square sounds that you get with a lot of synths. There's nothing quite like some super combs, fractal clouds, and resonators to give a sound that organic dreamlike quality.
What are your favorite tricks with Absynth or other synths to get interesting organic textural sounds?

Never tried Absynth. I always assumed since it's a large subtractive synth from NI that it would do/sound basically the same as Massive...

You couldn't be more wrong.
If I were to anthropomorphise NI's children, Massive would be the Jock, FM8 would be the math nerd, and Absynth would be the one that takes a lot of psychedelics.

take 4 really weird samples, granulize them and then detune them against each other, automate the grain size. you can get some crazy movements that way.
