HUGE track by Duskky onAcroplane Recordings and its given away for free, check the link section, go to acroplane, (a label just starting to gain attention from Ireland). The go to Acp for free and search for Duskky.

This is an essential track for any dub/idm/ breakbeat/dubstep artist!!

wow, i am jealous! indeed great producer, infact there are so many overlooked producers on acroplane recordings i thought to myself that if no one else is going to big them up on a blog or whatever, i will, i love so many of their tracks its unreal.

because it sounds like 100s of tracks with beats like this made over the last 20 years? This was nothing new before Dubstep even existed, technically its some form of breakbeat, 2006 era Dubstep is still less retro than this.

1997

2007

1998

1996

1996

2000

that sort of beat is used in hardcore, breaks, garage, downtempo... so many genres have extensively used chopped breaks and all the sounds hes got in there in these tempo ranges, you can probably find stuff from 1993 with that sort of tempo and beat.

Its really good, love the tune, Im definitely gonna look out for the artist in future and Im glad this sort of music is being taken under the wing of dubstep, as it should be, but its a continuation of a style of beat thats very old and has never really gone away completely since the 90s. I could post Phaeleh tracks from last year with that tempo and break style. Like the guy above is saying you could post a Herbie Hancock tune from the 70s thats not far off it too.

yeah but u could say that about any form of music really, its something taken from something else to create something "relatively speaking" new... ???

it shouldnt be the sample or drum break that is the issue but what the artist does with that sample/drum break and thats why i think its a game changer, as the track clearly has a lot of influences modern and old, which are worth taking into account.

so u mean soemthing like this

>?? if we can encourage this sound, give these artists a bit more attention, id much rather have that then any other skillex or bro step threads...that is surely a good thing.

I kinda like it, not sure about the vocal sample though.
