Slime returns with a fresh slice of future music for your eager ears. This time around we welcome a hot new talent to the world of post-dubstep electronic explorations in the shape of En Neem. Taking the cavernous sound of dubstep into experimental territory with a distinctly melodic flourish, En Neem will satisfy those looking for something more substantial from their beats.
'Over (With My Eyes)' blends the sultry vocals of Lauren Neko with skittering beats and heavenly chords submerged in a melancholy atmosphere perfect for these twilight autumnal evenings. With a gossamer touch, En Neem enthralls and hypnotises you deeper into the structure of the sound, layer after layer transporting you into serenity.
'Waiting' takes a more languid stance than the former, with deep rave stabs rolling over chest-rattling basswaves. Ghostly vocals emerge from the haze of dissonance only to dissapear back into their sonic depths before you can clarify their existence.
'Heat & Lies' reverses west coast funk licks over an serpentine bassline for a sensual rhythm experience. A deft deconstruction of a dislocated female vocal runs through the track like a pulsating vein to your heart.
'Me & My Girls' dissects tiny fragments of vocal with an aural vivisection before deep chords split the track open before you like a cracked ribcage. Isolated sonic elements bleed blissfully through the ensuing exposition.

"The wonderfully named Slime Recordings reach their 21st release with this atmospheric four tracker from En Neem. Introing with "Over" we are served up an ethereal treat as warm pads play off against a haunting vocal and skittering drums. Second track "Waiting" has a more upbeat feel with 2 step beats and rumbling bass reminiscent of the dark dubstep of early Tempa. "Heat & Lies" has an air of intricate ambience about it before EP closer "Me & My Girls" switches the mood using vocal snippets playing off against the rhythm track. Intriguing stuff."
