i don't really want to see a trailer though, just gonna recycle la noire and stick in a modern america.
rather a tech demo, of what actual new instalments are included.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.
^ They don't need a new engine. Red Dead and LA Noire run on a modified version of the IV engine as far as I know, and all those games (including IV) still look good and perform well. Check the new HD mod for IV on PC - it looks absolutely sick. IV still has lots of potential! Rockstar will probably just keep the IV engine for V but implement that mod
They'll do two more on this engine (V = Vice City / VI = San Andreas hopefully) before making a new one I reckon. Same as the last engine.
Very much looking forward. IV is still one of my favourite games!
edit: consider how much better Vice City and San Andreas were to play/look at than III. If IV has harnessed as much of this engine as III did of the old one, then V will be pretty amazing!

yup
or set it in space

never ever thought about a GTA-lostinspace
but yeah the London ideas a cool shout.
i don't know why the haven't already.

I immediately thought of san andreas when i saw that logo, it might not be based around being a gangster but i think its definitely going to have an emphasis on money and customizing your character. Which is the one thing i felt was lacking in 4.

There was too much customisation options in San Andreas, and it took long for your character to get 'changed'. I once tried to buy one of everything from all the stores. Stupid fucking idea in hindsight, took ages.
If they can get the loading times for the sorted, and take out the ridiculous fucking sub game REQUIREMENTS from GTA4, and made it in London, then yes, winner.

Yeah, agree that they don't need a new one... just remarking on the naming convention really... GTA 3, GTA 3: Vice City and GTA 3: San Andreas all used the same engine with a few tweaks here and there, GTA IV was the jump to a new one. Surprised they're not calling this GTA IV: Vice City (or similar) if it's the same code..?
Either way, I'd be surprised if it's not in my PS3 on release day.

If not, then Saints Row 3.
I would love to see a gta based in 70's/80's london.

It did - they use to chant "we are the mods" as they walked along.
And there was one level you had to get Lord Lucan out of the country, and another to start a football riot. Good fucking game.
A new London would always be good to see however I think I would like to see it go somewhere totally different. The US has been rinsed imo so maybe Tokyo or Rio could freshen things up a bit.
I'm hedging my bets on Washington DC. Hence why the V looks like a dollar bill? Meh, I dunno, but imagine tearing a motorbike through the white house! Yes!

Rio would be sick, especially if your character can learn jiu-jitsu and capoeira as his combat styles (kinda like how in san andreas you can learn boxing, kung fu and shit)
