How do I (convert?) output from speech syn to a waveform?
Ok, so I don't know a lot about how FL-Studio, but I've used similar programs so I know some stuff..
I have a sentence that the speech synthesizer read and I can edit that on the Piano Roll, and I can feed that into a synthesizer in the mixtrack... BUT I know this is probably like a basic function of FL-Studio, but no one told me!
How do I convert that output into a waveform? So I change the inflection on different words, make it say certain words/syllables faster, etc.
The only solution I can think of is extremely tedious, and cannot be the only way. I guess I could technically speech synthesize every syllable of every word and thread them all to different mixer channels, and then edit them all in different synthesizers, to add different effects to each word... but that would take forever and be very annoying.
Any ideas how to convert the speech synth output?

Just bounce it out to audio? Loop the speech, and export it out or record it right into Edison?
Then you will have a .wav of the speech and can do whatever you want. Is that what you meant?

Re: How do I (convert?) output from speech syn to a waveform
^^ do that
edit: do that meaning record it into edison, then you can send that into the playlist as audio

Yes, that is exactly what I meant, thank you both.. oh, hang on, by "record it directly to Edison" do you mean just assign the speech to a mixer track and assign the Edison synthesizer thing to it?

edison isn't a synthesizer, its a waveform editor and can be loaded as an effect on a mixer track. hit record on edison and play the synthesized speech and it will record into edison

thought this would be more obvious but its not
when you say 'bounce it out to audio' what does that mean?
and
problem with Edison, when I insert the speech in the mixer and through Edison and into the song, it plays a weird out of order version of the speech... but when played in Edison, or as a pattern, it is fine... ?

Insert Speech Synth
Type Sentence
Insert Edison to Speech Synth Channel
Hit Record on Edison
Play Pattern with Speech Synth
BOOM Recorded into Edison as a .wav
Make Edits and Cuts
Save
Re-Insert in Sampler
Re: How do I (convert?) output from speech syn to a waveform

Don't apologise, this kind of question is exactly why there is a Production Forum on this site, its all good.N0BODY wrote:thats exactly what I was looking for, thanks.. and sorry for the slightly out-of-place question!
