(Another danish dubstep tune) Acetone - Lillejohn (halfstep)

It's actually a remix of a dubby surf track a mate of mine made. It's straight out of Reason, tweaked a bit with the mastering suite. It's also my first proper dubstep tune. I've been fiddling with d'n'b tunes for a few years, but I'm really feeling dubstep so I thought I'd give it a go…

Nice tune, nice ideas, but you have to get it right in the mixdown. The snare and bass are WAY ahead volumewise in the mix. The rest needs to be turned up or the rythm section turned down.
Still, good effort! :D

Nice tune, mate with some really good ideas.
However the mix doesn´t seem finished. As Kenneth Sulu points out, especially the snare is very loud.

Big up!

This is okay. Sounds like a couple of tracks rolled together tho. Some good sounds but dosen't go anywhere really. maybe some more movement in the high freqs (hi-hats for example)...

Looking forward to the next one. Big things from Denmark!

Thanks for the advice, I'll have a go at adding some action to the highs and I'll try to even the mix out a bit. I may have gotten a bit carried away with the snare…

The crackling is not a problem with the mix, it only appeared in the mp3 when I uploaded it to the forum. Here's a link to a zipped mp3 that shouldn't have the crackling:

And in case any of you are curious about how the original sounded before I versioned it, here it is:
