no point trying to yell at the bastard, it's just gonna look like you're trying to convert...you can't change the minds of the severley ignorant.

but whatever, to each their own. as long as you don't slag what the hater listens to, you won't stoop to his level.

Hahaha you probably sound like an idiot if you're reacting to that.

Just chill, their failure to grasp our genre cannot phase us. Rise above their feeble minds.

dubstep seems to have its own unexplainable gravitational pull, i couldnt pick one thing that makes me dig it.. but from the first time i heard it, instant head nodding ya know.. it seems to attract those with an open mind, searching for something new....

..nuff dubstep-love babble :)

Im sure thats the kind of person that in 6 months time when the scene is bigger will say "Dubstep, yeah i loved that for years mate" sad but true, i dont think i have ever said i hate a certain music genre as a whole seems very narrow minded.

What the hell is a swead? Translate for a yank please. I mean after listening to a few N-type shows, I get it as far as context goes but where does that come from. Stateside slang is boring these days, I need some new words. Aww man, where did the teefer smile go? This one will have to do -r-

Yeah that sounds right to me. Where i live, people are generally pretty ignorant and stuck in their ways when it comes to music. If you put on something that's not hip hop, r&b or electro, they're like "that's gay, put some P Diddy on!" No one i speak to has ever heard of dubstep & when i play it to people they're always less than impressed, apart from one lad i know who i would consider to be as open minded as i am about music, and he's loving it.

As for me, i only heard it for the first time about 3 months back, and it pretty much took over my life instantly. Just wish i'd known about it sooner

Its one of those unexplainable things. The first time you hear it on a big system it just leaves you gagging for more.

You lot in Europe & the States have got it made. The crew down here in NZ have only had Mala play here & we've only just got our 1st regular club nights starting up. So if any of you guys want a holiday down under & make a few $$ while you're at it you know where to come

i cant say why other people love dubstep they have their own reasons

i love it because:
as long as i can remember, ive had a thing for bass. feeling music as well as hearing it doubles the experience
dubstep takes elements from literally every style of music... i was lucky enough to be brought up on such a variety by my old man, jazz, reggae, soul, punk, funk, classical.. so i can appreciate all music types, but i love u way u can take literally anything and it can become a key element in a dubstep tune
its deeper shit
the head-nod half step stuff...

the tempo aswell- 140-145bpm.. it just works for skankin..
it gives u an uncontrollable urge to skank out, without a care;
being at a rave because of the music, how its supposed to be. not pick a fight or behave like a backwards prick.. just let off and let the music make u move...its like being possessed!!

the atmosphere at dubstep raves is unbeatable, it can move you...

and of course, i love to blaaaaaazzzzzzzzeee
dubstep and blazing just go hand in hand!

i could go on all day... but i wont!

:dubstep rave:

Yer Head.A Swede is a member of the Turnip family of vegetables. :W:

To give my answer to the thread i love Dubstep because of the soundsystem culture. It has all essentially come out of early Jamaican music.Obviously not directly but in the same regards as Hip Hop,Jungle,Garage,Grime.I like the fact that people get together infront of a big fuck off soundsystem and Skank.I like to see people Toasting on the mic and i like the fact that Rewinds occur in appreciation of a good track.I love House and Techno but they are a bit more distant from the Soundsystem aspect Dubstep gives me that raw skank out edge.
At the end of the day im a Reggae/Dub/Dancehall fan always have been and i appreciate music that has a similarity to that Culture,i like to feel the Sub Bass :o
