Dan Stewart - Time to Fly (Minimal)

Post by DanStyleMusic » Sat Nov 05, 2011 1:38 am

I put this track together today, I am not much of a dubstep producer, i'm still learning, but i'd like your feedback nonetheless.

I'd love if you subscribed to me on youtube if you like the song.

i like the feel of this song! it's cool, i think some of your instruments might be distorted though, make sure you're not in the red on your master, or any other instrument

Thanks, I appreciate the tip. I always use the limiter in FL, so I don't think they're in the red, but there's always a possibility that I took it off at some point. Thanks again.

don't let it over-limit it though, then you get bad transients and you can get distortion. nice tune :) i really like the percussive work.

Thanks. I'll take extra care with the limiter on my next track.

Yeah in general you want to avoid limiting the master until it's done done and mixed down. Definitely sounds like that bass is distorting, but it's easily fixable, just turn everything down.

Cool tune BTW, agree with that the percussion is really nicely programmed.
