They come in at 22s. I'm trying to decipher whether or not that is entirely synth, or a hybrid of guitar distortion and synth as well? Would like to achieve that hard hitting bassy sound on a certain project.

considering its korn and skrillex plays guitar its probably a guitar sample that was processed maybe to sound like a midrange growl/stab.

Hi guys, can't find the thread that you're talking about. I'd love to find out more about that guitar/synth sound. I see a lot of threads about Skrillex but not the one about that guitar/synth sound.

That is because it's just a electric guitar, its korn and skrillex.. I very much doubt when both parties play guitar that they would go through the trouble of creating a sound that sounds like a guitar, when they have guitars? Its just processed afterwards.

Surely but if there's some talk about how it's been processed it'd be great to know. Do you have a link to that particular thread? Can't find those stickies anywhere.

It's just a growl and guitar layered together....surely this is the most simple and reasonable conclusion???? There hasn't been any super complex processing to modify the guitar.
