When you say Reason/Logic, do you mean he uses both?

That's cool, I don't totally understand the concept of rewiring...I use Logic, and love it, but it would be cool if I could rewire the Ableton Operator Synth into Logic...is that possible?

Seems like Logic and Ableton are the two most widely used as far as I can tell, but FL studio and Reason also have a fair amount of following, at least as far as dubstep goes

also, Dr. Dre uses Logic. He's obviously not dubstep, but he's awesome nonetheless. Just a sidenote

Rob Swire and Gaz from Pendulum are now using Ableton for their Knife Party stuff, and use it in their live set up for Pendulum shows along with the receptors they have.

rewiring is super easy man. Just open logic first then open ableton second. In ableton insert operator. In logic route sound from ReWire to and audio channel in logic, set it so monitoring is on all the time and when you select that channel you should be able to play midi and operator should be routing sound into logic.

Samiyam uses a 404, moog, vinyl samples, and some simple multitrack recorder which name has escaped me... As close to all hardware as you get without the headache of tape.
And I really dont think Downlink uses FL... id put money down its logic, given he n depone collab'd.

wow...that's pretty crazy, I've never really considered that possibility. I'm all software except for a little M-Audio Oxygen 25 Keyboard MIDI Controller...I've never really considered the possibilities of being almost all hardware...

Downlink DOES use Logic...he was listed under both, so I spose he rewires FL studio to logic, but in that list he was listed under logic
