OUT NOW!!!!
This is the one people have been waiting for with baited breath! We get tons of messages asking when this is dropping, and now the time is finally upon us. This beast is about to get unleashed on turntables and soundsystems everywhere! And Halloween is the perfect day for everyone to get “Wild for the Night!”
The two Stagga originals here are heat rocks in the street bass style of kitchen sink aesthetic! Taking nods from dubstep, grime and rap all bashed together in way that is undeniably Stagga. These tracks have seen heavy play support from Gaslamp Killer, Starkey, EPROM, Kozee and early blog support from Phree Drugs and Chrome Kids. Berlin’s prolific Robot Koch (the mastermind behind Jahcoozi) amps things up with his stomping refix. After solo Seclusiasis releaes and touring/producing for Gift of Gab (of Blackalicious), San Francisco’s DNAEBEATS flips a serious head nodder on his remix here. Robox-Neotech’s main man Doshy throws down a sick trap influnenced cut up. Philly’s Dev79 merges 2-step and grime vibes for a wicked ride and Stagga rounds it out with a VIP version of “Be the Generals.”
Stagga recently released his debut album on Rag & Bone, after a slew of successful singles including the modern classic “Genik Riddim” on Slit Jockey last year. He’s toured the world and he’s had the support of Mary Anne Hobbs, Daedelus, Surgeon, Hatcha and N-Type.
