Okay, i'm sure there many unexperiencedbpeople out there who want to ask "noobish" questions about simple parts of music production. And I'm sure all you wise, people full of dubstep knowledge would mind answering
Here goes: What key is dubstep made in? And does it matter what kick, snares, and hats you use togethr?
Thankyou!!

1. The Key Of Everything
2. Yeah, it's gotta be a kick on the 1st, snare on the 3rd, gotta make sure the snare is as loud as possible though mate, or else it isn't dubstep.
3. With regards to hats, you gotta wear something like this at a dub concert or people will look at you like you're a weirdo man.
In all seriousness, you'll get much better responses in the Production Forum, here:

yeah i do have a feeling this is a genuine question lol. Dubstep can be in any key, as can any music. certain keys portray different moods so kinda depends on what you are aiming for. and no it doesn't matter what hits you use together, but the least you can do is choose hits from the same kit so they sound more human and 'together'

Any but we like F minor.
Reason being, when you take a pure sine wave F down a few octaves it resonates at about 45hz which is perfect for a meaty sub bass. If you don't understand this I'll happily break it down for you.
