What's the difference between a normal track and the VIP one? When is a track a 'VIP'? sorry if this us the wrong forum, but I don't know where ican ask questions like this. I've been looking around for an answer but didn't find one.

Its just an altered version of a track, but not different enough to call it a remix. Usually only given out to a few select djs

usually its unique version of the tune directed at a specific DJ for promo. it can also be a version unique to the producer (him/herself).

The original mix by Skream
The most well known remix by Mala of Digital Mystikz
Remixes (at least official ones) are done by other producers who get permission from the original producer to attempt to put a different slant on the track. The difference between a pop track remixed and an underground track remixed is pretty obvious here.
The VIP mix by Skream himself (I believe so anyway... Think I've only heard it in Plastician or Hatcha mixes so not too sure)
VIP are usually made by the original producer or someone they're especially good friends with. Usually they are the most exclusive cuts of already famous or popular tracks and are usually more dancefloor-orientated than the original. So it's super-rare if they are released.
