Calling all dub producers using original analog gear

Post by dubshot » Sat Nov 19, 2011 11:22 am

Calling all dub producers who use original analog reverb tanks and tape echo machines. Dubbhism wants your track for an analog VA-release showcasing the sound of oldskool analog dub. Let's do this!!

Are you producing dub tracks using Great British Springs, original analog reverb tanks by Accutronics, Belton, vintage tape echo machines by Roland, Korg, analog BBD-based echo/flanger fx etc.? Please let us know about it. Contact us via dubbhism(?)xs4all.nl or via

http://www.dubbhism.com
http://www.facebook.com/Dubbhism
http://twitter.com/dubbhism
http://soundcloud.com/ism-studio

or whatever

Dubbhism wants to compile a 'various artists' album (to be released in 2012) showcasing the sound of analog dub equipment. It's not about recording your masters to tape, about vintage eq, exotic mixing desks or anything like that. We're just interested in tracks that feature a healthy dose of analog reverb and/or analog echo. No plugins, only the vintage fx, the electronica, the hardware. You can mix on your iPad if you want to, but the dub fx have to be analog, and we don't mind if the track is a little noisy.

All types of dub are equal to us, no matter if it's roots dub, techno dub, minimal dub, world dub, lounge dub or any other type of dub you have invented in your studio. For details give us a shout.. out...

This guy used the word 'dub' in place of 'dubstep' so many times I think an artery in my brain burst.

don't give me that 'off topic' treatment guys... i'm talking 70/140 bpm, big bass and vintage fx. trust me it can be done, and some people actually do it

Bass Clef does this kind of stuff, he's got pretty good at it if I recall correctly too...

Ace concept though, hope it goes well :4:
