Hooking up mixtrack pro to saffire 6

Post by wobbles » Mon Nov 21, 2011 2:59 am

sorry for my noobishness, i cant figure this out.
I have A Mixtrack Pro, a pc, and a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB soundcard hooked up to powered monitor speakers. I'm having a hard time hooking my equipment up and feel like i'm doing this wrong.

Because I have a soundcard, do I even need to hook up my mixtrack to my external soundcard? or is plugging it ino the PC through USB enough?

I've been able to get it to play out of my monitors through fiddeling with the settings, but my main problem is getting the CUE headphones working properly.

Plugging them into the soundcard's headphone jack just plays whatever is coming out through the monitors, and plugging them into the mixtrack pro's headphones doesn't seem to work Also any time I mess with the bass mid or treble nobs i hear this annoying cracking, you can hear it in my mix below @ 1:30 when I juggle the bass in each track.
:u:
plz help
thank u

You can simply use the mixtrack pro as a midi controller with your software of choice (traktor, vdj, whatever).

The focusrite soundcard is going to sound a lot better than the mixtrack pro anyway.
