Connecting my mixer to Logic
Hey guys,
My band is upping our live show and we're trying to get our Yamaha MG124C Mixer to hookup to logic so we can put effects and such on the channels. Does anybody have any experience with this? I'm fairly good with audio gear, i've just never done this before. What does a mixer usually need to get each channel into logic.
anything anybody can tell me would be great! thanks.

Re: Connecting my mixer to Logic
This mixer does not send midi data,so you cant use it as virtual mixer with software.

Re: Connecting my mixer to Logic
well you could use your interface to send the outputs of the effects sends to each channel on the desk?

I'm guessing he means using Logic to process the effects and send them back into the desk?invisibled wrote:would use be able to explain a little more, i'm not sure i understand what you mean? In that case, you need to make sure your interface has enough input/outputs for the channels you want to process. Looking at your mixer, it looks like you'd only be able to process 4 channels live, as you would need to connect the direct outputs from the desk into Inputs 1-4 of your interface, do your processing in Logic and then send the outputs from Logic via your interface's line outs to the remaining 4 inputs on your desk. Be careful of latency too - although for delays and reverbs that shouldn't be so much of a problem...
Hope that helps a bit!
