What I've heard is shit, but I don't know whether there's any underground moombahton or anything that's actually good.

Any moombahton heads around?

everything i've heard has been shite.
haven't really dug into it so i don't want to write off a whole genre, not impressed with what i've heard so far though.

I feel like there's at least a lil potential for some good songs to come out of it, but no ones nailed it yet.

It's so formulaic within such a short time from inception that the future doesn't bode well for it.

I really don't know what to say. I like it because it sounds like night by benga and coki, but on the other hand it kinda sounds like shit.

It can be good, and there's a lot of bad stuff too. Sorta like sifting through what gets passed for dubstep these days. sweeping generalizations aren't going to help. There's the potential for any type of music to be good or bad. I don't think anyone on Dubstepforum can call any other genre bandwagon music.... that's kinda the pot calling the kettle black.

I'm saying that obviously there are a lot of people that have been fighting to remove the stigmas and generalizations that are being attached to the many different/new faces of dubstep. none of these people getting into dubstep want to be considered bandwagon jumpers. I'm saying new sounds and styles are born every minute, and each person that takes it and runs with it is a bandwagon jumper to somebody. We just need to find out who the Skroombatex is. If the lines were more clear dividing good/bad then it would be easier for everyone to tell whether they like good moombahton or the simpler, dumbed down version.
