looking forward to this then! ive tried to recreate sounds out of cloud seed for years now never got anywhere close- always ends up too tinny and metallic
still probably my favourite ever dubstep album, though the new kuedo one is close

i'm loving remains of the day, shinju bridge and oceans the most so it's the atmosphere and layers i'm trying to get behind but yeah some of those incidental sounds are making my head hurt when i'm trying to think of ways to emulate them, especially when i have to do it all in my head rather than in the DAW...

which sounds are you after?

amongst others the kick drum in the bar kimura remix as well as the bass noise at the drop, can never make it fat enough/ stop myself descending into half step wobble boringness

this should be fun

I'm in.

I already know exactly what's going to happen. I'm gonna take all these ideas I've been having, load up my DAW on the 3rd and I'll mess around for about 3 hours and get angry because none of my ideas are working out as intended. Then I'll delete everything and go play video games and then come back and try to put something together at the last minute. Good Times! And even though it'll be done at the last minute, I'm still gonna *insert witty trash talk statement here*.

I think I'll actually prepare a template this time in advance though. The least I could do is actually prepare for this one.

you basically get 48 hours to make a track, of any style, any tempo any length and then when youre done forum members anonymously vote in a knock out competition, eliminating tracks until we have a winner
