So ive got this 8 bar loop going and every things fine and dandy, throughout it the kick peaks at about 9db correctly mixed in (at least i think so) but then when it loops back around it suddenly peaks at 4db and overpowers everything. If anyone has any answers for this anomaly id be grateful.

It peaks at 9 db, but when it gets to 4db it begins to cut?
Are you sure you're reading your meters right?

nah what i meant to say was on the first kick after it loops around, it peaks at about 4db and only on that first one, then it starts to peak at 9db again

sure you haven't doubled up a section of the loop?

maybe a slow attack on a compressor, or being doubled up somewhere... Like in abletons drum rack for example, you can have two samples on just one pad and it's hard to notice right away.

thats happened to me plenty a times haha. if all else fails u could just try lowering the velocity on that on kick. see if that helps

If you're using fruity loops, open the sampler window and uncheck "use loop points" see if that helps :) if not then make sure you didn't have the DAW loop your sample, i used to get that problem a lot :)

That sounds like a classic example of an overlapped kick!

Yeah, I bet you're using FL too, aren't you?
Just go to the sampler and take it off loop
