Hello again lads, i know i come here asking all kinds of questions recently. But i promise this to be the last one (for a while!)

All that's missing from my setup is a pair of studio monitors, but with Xmas round the corner my loving family have said they will provide me with some! What i am basically asking you guys, are suggestions to studio monitors around the £150 pound mark, but but will consider suggestions below £250 as we are not mega rich Before you say it, i know that the more money you put into this stuff the more you get out, but i am a beginner and i am aware that you can grab awesome bargains out there for some good quality speakers. Brand names or the actual codes of the product are all welcome!

TL;DR : Need many suggestions for a decent pair of studio monitors for around £150 (will consider suggestions below £250)

bought a pair off of eBay for $275 and these things can compare to those Mackie HR824's for wayyy less green.

the alesis M1s have a nice price ticket but they lack any character to their sound

I was gonna mention the M1s too. Don't know what you mean about 'character' to the sound. The idea of studio monitors is to NOT have the sound under the influence of any character.

For the price the M1 - 520's are very decent imo ideal for a home studio, the 620's having a lower bass response and a higher amplitude ceiling, but the 520's still have very decent bass and the volume can be bought up to levels way higher than any realistic monitoring amplitude before clipping.

Anything bigger than these and it becomes a much larger investment so unless you're thinking about building a serious studio M1's should be ideal.
