I don't use Logic but i switched from FL and its the best thing i ever did.
I would definitely encourage you to at least try a different program if you don't like the one you are using, but if you are getting good results from FL do you really need Logic ?

The one thing I will say is if you think you are going to get better music automatically In Logic you are wrong. I have heard down the grapevine that Spor uses FL... Spor's standard of production is second to none.

I've used FL since i was about 13-14 (i'm 19 now) and i've recently started studying sound design at university and we are forced into using Logic and Pro Tools and all I can say is, you notice the shortcomings more than the improvements. Stick to FL if it's what you know, not much point in trying to use other programs if you don't need to, apart from Reason which I can understand coz re-wiring Reason is awesome and a mate i been collabing with has the new Reason6 and the mastering suite in it is the best i've ever seen (digitally of course).
So yeah, in conclusion, unless you just started producing and arent feeling FL at all, don't switch, just learn FL inside out

im using a macbook with bootcamp software to use both windows 7 & mac, but i want to get rid of the windows 7 side & go all mac. iv been developing a lot of knowledge in fl, but have been wanting to learn logic for some time. iv heard they are similar but im not even sure from where.

I advise you highly to just do the move, if you really regret it later on you can always switch back, but you'll know how logic works.. it is great to know a couple of DAW's inside out. And don't worry too much, you'll find they are all pretty similar.
Also when I work in a different DAW for a change I always find that I experiment a lot more and find a lot more inspiration in weird little functions, it's good fun!

They aren't that different really, it just takes some getting used to. Workflow is the biggest thing imo, and working more with audio. Unless you use the ancient block patterns in FL, it's not that big of a leap.
Also native OSX FL is currently in testing and should be out soon, won't need bootcamp or emulation.

im currently running bootcamp on my mac to use FL & it divides my memory. Part of me just wants to go all mac, this is a big reason i want to start logic. thanks for all the input, its giving me a good idea of what i should do. Spor is a big source of inspiration to me too. If he does use FL, it gives me a lot more motivation to completely master this program. I do want to try another daw & iv heard mac is good for sound design/video etc.

I use Logic and absolutely love it. It has unparalleled workflow. Amazing program, many producers (Skream, Datsik, Emalkay, J-Kenzo, Subscape to name a few - not that it matters that much, just kinda cool) use it.
I've fiddled around with other DAWs a lot, and it's all good fun, but I always return to Logic.

I've bounced around all the DAW's and stuck with Logic. I like it a lot personally. It wasn't hard for me to figure out because I'm a genius, but it might be for some.
What I didn't like about FL was all the floating windows. It felt messy and gave me anxiety attacks.
