So last night my mate got nicked, deservedly. dont know the full story but he has a tendency to be a prick and start on people when he's pissed. Now I was acted as a witness, I told him to stick to no comment and not talk until there is a lawyer present. The police didn't like that and served me some kind of notice to leave kingston town center within 15 minutes or i could face a 2.5k fine, and then started pushing me pretty violently. they then get even more angry when i asked for their names and badge number, and even started covering them up.

Im PISSED off, I want some kind of repercussion to happen. There is cctv evidence im pretty sure, kingston is covered. "I have one of the officers names. What should my next plan of action be, I feel like i've been served a serious injustice here.

Any advice would be greatly received.

Write a letter to the Police Complaints Commission, but it might be worth having a chat to Citizen's Advice Bureau (or a lawyer if you can afford/know one) first... they should be able to help you organise what you need to say a bit.

If you haven't got any lasting injuries, it might be a bit difficult as without video evidence (always get your phones out and start filming as soon as the Police talk to you, kids)

Give the CAB a call first and see what they say... they might know who you need to speak to to get the CCTV footage (or might be able to say whether you're going to be flogging a dead horse).

you were probably pissed/intoxicated and wont stand a chance at corroborating any kind of story with witnesses about what was said during the confrontation

basically if there's only one police on the scene and one of you they always call for back up because it's your word against there's in court

if there's more of you there'll be more police, so that each one can back the other in court in order to convict as witnesses to whatever crime

if it was you and 10 police, good luck mate

Called the CAB, no one is there until the 3rd which is a bit shit. I was pissed but not too pissed, I remember most of what was said.

Might have to leave this one, which im not happy about.

City of london police are worse, They accused me of being a terrorist hahah. I wasn't in hippodrome but I was around ad about town, was gona go in but my heads wern't up for it.

I think COL are seperate, they're millitant stnuc though.

They pushed me quite a few times trying to provoke me.

They are seperate, yeah... Met cover everything but the City and ultimately answer to the Mayor, the City police get a lot more independence and only really answer to the Home Office.

On the general stike day I was coming back from the march to st pauls, they ran down the street after me, threw me against a wall and illegally searched me. Because apparently I was a known terrorist. Experts?! Yeah right...

Smoke, eat, play some games, watch some tv.

You won't get far with this. K'town is littered with CCTV, but you'd
be lucky to get hold of the footage. Police hold the cards on this one.

If you really do feel THAT strongly about it - as magma said, go to the CAB.
They'll be able to help you but they'll probably also state it's a bit pointless trying.

Tbf i'd hate to be a policemen dealing with pissed up people.

For sure they're supposed to, but the reality is that they don't. I know this from experience. Cops can get away with shitloads. Remember that its the end of the year and cops are trying to get their arrest numbers for the year up so that they can make really good statistics, and brag to their cop friends how copular they are... Mabye it's different where you guys are from.
