sounds that cover the entire frequency range

i dont get how you get those sounds to sit in so nicely in the back.

i know you can eq to get the drums to come through a bit more but usually its just not good enough for me and eqing too much just make it sound sht. so how do you keep those sounds sounding so big...

an example
the brass is so big in this song yet all the drums and the lead somehow sit on top of it and come through perfectly

well that brass is more lowend and that sort of saw ish lead synth is played at a somewhat high octave while the clap sits right inbetween. to get them to sit nicely just try different sounds, reverb, eq'ing, volume, binaural/regular panning? sometimes seperating the sound by what octave its at helps ;lower the octave lower the freq and vice versa
