1. Try the newest driver from focusrite's homepage
2. Don't plug your card in, until the installation is done
3. Restart your PC if it's not detecting it

I just checked it's an USB card, try plugging it in another USB connector, also install first, THEN connect.
So I suggest uninstall, and install again (with your saffire unplugged)

USBs can be ass

Make sure when you're installing the stuff that it's not connected until the installation says it's ok.

Also make sure when you're installing the device, it's not plugged in until the installation finishes

Not working what so ever, been here for atleast 6 hours trying to figur it out tried everything -_- gonna have to ring them I guess doubt that'll do much

Got the same problem with my saffire 6 usb, problem started after a win7 update, i guess something that came with the update screwed things up. haven't found a solution on google yet.

The Saffire mix control isn't compatible with the Saffire 6 I thought?

ok my problem is solved, did a system restore and updated my MSI mainboard drivers everything is working now. (My problem wasn't about the mix control tho, my pc just said mu saffire 6 wasn't connected through usb, although it was)

So the mix control works for it? ( I just got mine through today.. didn't wanna install it and it all go to shit)

i haven't got mix control installed either, my problem was just that my pc said there was no saffire connected to it. think it was driver related

How would i hook up my saffire 6 so i can record my mix i have audacity and all that

but the interface has all outputs so how would i do this, highly confused atm

You'd slam the (record)output from your mixer into one of the inputs on the frontside of the Saffire

There is 2 inputs in the front, the XLR ports.
