Hi all,

Any ideas when the next DSF sample competition is happening? been wanting to enter one for a while but have been too busy in uni. i have a month off now and was hoping that my time off would coincide with one. any one got any info?

& yeah cant wait for this! iv been having loads of practice making basses from wavecycles with the use of automating EQs with strong resonances. looking forward to flipping some samples
also @naroja apparently the winner of the last sample comp has to submit the new samples

The sample pack is provided by the previous contest's winner.

How does it work? Do we have to use all of the samples, or a certain amount? Or will the rules be posted on the next one.

You can use as many of the samples as you want, in whatever way you see fit - however, you may only use those samples. No exterior samples, no VST instruments, etc.

although iv asked about using fruity granulizer before.. is it ok in the contest to put wavecycles of the samples in IL Harmor?
although its a synth that resynthesises sounds in the sample section at the bottom, the oscillator section doesn't do that it just loads inserted wav files without resynthesizing.

Manipulation of sample = okay

Using external sound source to generate new sample from scratch = not okay

Usually somewhere between 1 and many.

il ONLY be using it to manipulating samples with no external sound source feeding through at any point.
so it should be ok
