Please tell me what you think. I really value your feedback!

This list has, hilariously, more dubstep than your alleged dubstep list.

i dont see the point in what youre doing really
if you were even promoting up and comin artists then a few inaccuracies might be easier to overlook but basically what is all this for?

Our charts are a showcase of our taste in music. We create these charts for the top house, top dubstep etc based on tunes that we've reviewed over the course of the year.
Also because we post a lot of music... our charts are a great and convenient way for our audience to have a nice summary of the year's best tunes. Our lists also give newcomers an idea of what can they expect if they subscribe to us
Not every tune obviously is going to make it into our charts... but if you browse around our site you'll see that we cover A LOT of more underground music in addition to the more popular stuff.

well I'm sorry you feel that way man. I just wanted to make an easy and practical way for people to get their EDM fix whether they're already familiar with it or are just getting into it. When I got into electronic music... I hated that I had to go to 20 million different places to find good tunes and learn about the music (I still hate how not intuitive and messy it is lol). I also felt like there's few quality filters on the internet and that's a terrible burden for people who don't want to SEARCH through millions of songs for the good stuff.
Not to sound full of myself.. but I truly wish that years ago there was a place like LessThan3 that made it simple and easy to find and enjoy good EDM. Also... I'm the kind of guy that just loves to share music I enjoy with people. I turned a lot of people into EDM and so in a way LessThan3 is basically a gigantic mega-phone for me with it being America's largest electronic music blog. I can promote the music by the artists I respect with literally tens and tens of thousands of people!

Yeah...you know how you want "quality filters" so that you don't have to search for the good stuff?
Issue is that you, as a so-called quality filter, are filtering out the quality stuff. You're pushing electro as dubstep and making people completely ignorant as to what dubstep actually is and where the good stuff is actually at.
The people who want good music badly enough to seek it out and sort through the pile of 95% shit are the ones who are going to find it; those who take people like you at their word that whatever dumbed-down party music you're pushing is "good" are going to be the ones who remain ignorant. One person deciding for thousands or tens of thousands or whatever unique pageviews you get per unit time what music is good is the problem, not the solution.

No, no I was saying that there needs to be quality filters for music meaning that only the quality stuff should be promoted and the junk should be left out

And yeah we know the term "best music" is enormously subjective. So of course "our best" isn't what everyone is going to favor but a great deal of people do like our taste in beats

And if you prefer the more niche style of dubstep coming from the UK underground... well we cover plenty of that too (with UK writers even like Mez)!!! We do our best to cover both the more popular styles as well as the more underground kind

None of the people that like this music are going to be found on this forum. No one likes you because you're being willfully ignorant about your music. The mid-range shit you try to pass as "dubstep" helps propagate a lie and make even more people ignorant like yourself.
I think it would help to know something about the genre you're writing about before you choose "the year's best tracks"

Mesh, youre doing an awesome job
The blog has variety and obvious appeal
But its a tough crowd here
Im defending your positive prose whether or not i like your music
People have become waay to anal about dubstep
As a third person, i gather that these trueschool heads can be the most condescending of individuals
Tainting dubstep as a whole and making it quite unattractive to be a part of.
I wish not to equate dubstep with grumpyoldbastards, but im shown otherwise

I think this list for indie beats and glitch hop is quite different from the dubstep list that I guess you could say appeals more towards fans in America.
