Having a hard time finding anywhere in the states that sell commericial intert fill material, UK has a few companies (that won't deliver here).
Don't want to do sand, but may have to. Even "shot fill" is turning up zero results here in Maryland... I've called Gramaphone, Guitar Center, etc, nothing.

Anyone Stateside know any good fill distributors?
Anyone anywhere want to share their thoughts on fill material?

I'm so frustrated & confused. Google overload. Too many reviews and discussions on the subject. I don't know what use/do do anymore.

How much did you use? (How many bags)
And how much are the stands filled? (100%? 75%?)

Thanks

what kind of stands do you have? just fill the fuckers till they don't move or vibrate really. or if you still hear any resonances from them, fill them all the way up..

That stuff is just rebranded marked up shot. The stuff they sell in guitar center isnt any more "musical" than any other cheap spherical metal balls used for mass lol. Look up a materials distributor like mcmaster-carr and i guarantee you can find something a lot cheaper and will get to you a lot quicker as well.

You want 'kiln dried' sand, or 'play' sand (used for kiddies sandpits etc.)

Shoudl cost fuckall, i paid about £3 for far too much.

You want some? You pay shipping. :6:

Hardware stores and garden shops give that stuff away. I got a couple of huge bags from a gigantic mountain of it they had in the back of a hardware store, they even let me use their shovels.
