I have an fm8 channel, and a massive channel id like to morph between, like you can with fm8.

In fm8 you can morph between two different synths. I was wondering if there is a plugin that can morph between massive, and fm8

You can you a vocoder with one as the carrier and one as the modulator

Camel Audio's Alchemy can do it thanks to additive and granular resynthesis, which means you won't have the exact same sound but something very close (not always tho) and editable.
You can find more info about it on Camel Audio's forum @ KVR.
I read there are a couple freeware appz that will do it as well but have no idea how good they are. You'll easily find them with Google.

2 synths, automate the dry/wet knob
what`s soo difficult?

another possibility, you may be able to send 1 midi track to both synths, assign the volumes of both the synth lanes to a controller or a dial/wheel on your keyboard so as you turn it the volume dips on 1 and increases on the other like a crossfader, then bus both of them together at the end. Its not exactly morphing, not sure how the morph works in fm8 but it will certainly blend between them if you want a piano to dissolve into a bell sound, blend between 2 pads, whatever it is youre doing.
If you actually find something that morphs sounds together in a different and more exciting way post it up for sure.

that is the same thing as automating the wet and dry knob.

fm8 can morph between patches/presets, not synths goddamnit. and thats why nothing will "morph" between massive and fm8 or massive and albino or alchemy and blue.
reaktor can morph between snapshots, which are like presets so you could give that a try.

You could always make 2 patches on 2 instances of something..
Get an X/Y plugin and automate?

Which is called fading not morphing.
Only option I can think of for proper morphing is rendering your patches to samples and morphing with Alchemy (or any other capable synth/app).

when you morph in fm8, its not just volume, they actually frequency modualte each other, and you get crazy mixed sounds when you morph, hell it even has a Z plane, on top of the x and y

the wet dry knob of what though? You dont know what daw he is using and what routing possibilities it offers.

You could do a massive X/Y automation spree where 5/6 different ones eventually link up to 1 X/Y to get the same results, just externally!

I think my point was missed.
Daftcunt spelled out what I was saying.
You can automate the wet/dry to move between the 2 synth lines.
And if you read the OP's post that is what he was asking.
He used the incorrect terminology to describe fm8's morphing abilities which as with Alchemy can morph to different patch states.
FM8 however is not morphing between different synths.
understand my point?

Im still not sure what your wet/dry knob is attached to

each synth has an output wet/dry knob
In Reaper for example, every vst inserted has a wet/dry knob that can be automated to essentially turn down the volume for one or to adjust the amount of effect for example being used.
So when I create a synth line and use let`s say Camelphat to add distortion.
I can automate the Wet/dry output of Camelphat to either apply distortion or not or to apply certain degrees of said distortion.
The same applies for synths.
It is in essence a volume automation.

fair play, I think Im with you now, so youd have one synth coming in through the dry and another being piped into the wet?
