Jammed League of Legends for a few months, it can get pretty addictive..cool game

Played LoL for a month or two. Been trying to get a beta pass for Dota 2.

Was really keen on hon through the beta but I stopped playing.

Bonus info: hon sounds exactly the same as "hand" in danish (hånd). This makes for a lot of fun when mates proclaim they are gonna spend the evening with it.

i'm playing LoL and Dota2 i'm kinda ok in LoL but in Dota2 i'm awful it is a totally different level then LoL

i don't get the appeal tbh, especially with how shit the communities usually are.

Playing with 4 friends over Skype/Teamspeak/whatever is the most rewarding video game experience I have ever had, hands down. Your success is entirely based off teamwork. Unfortunately, you can't really trust strangers over the internet to work as a team, and that creates a culture of distrust and fingerpointing amongst the random mongs who play the game. Playing with people you know personally (or at least know are good) solves this problem entirely.

I don't know I enjoy RTS games, but could never get into MOBAs, i think i played my DOTA2 beta for like a couple hours before getting bored and disgusted by the community.
It seems to fall under specific strategies and APM which is probably why they make for some of the largest e-sport events, but I just find playing and watching MOBAs boring.
