GLK-ish Drums

Post by mylon » Wed Feb 01, 2012 2:06 am

I've recently gotten into The Gaslamp Killer a lot and am really interested in his drums.
I'm just wondering if those are real or sampled out of existing songs, etc.
Obviously, you're not going to know for a fact ha, but any feedback is appreciated.

Obviously sampled from an existing drum solo of some kind. Amazing song thanks for posting. At 1:20 how did they do that, the cymbals went from all big and somehow blended into the small drum beat again.

There's a short bit on one of his drum techniques here;
