I have it but have yet to use the room correction side of it.Basically i just run my speakers and sub through it,it has a nifty function that when you use the sub aswell you press a button and it cuts your monitors at around 80hz or there about.I don't use it often because when the subs is at a slight level my neighbours still moan like fuck.
When i eventually get my own room to set up in i will use the ergo unit properly so for now it is basically a preamp for my monitors. If i do ever get round to using the room correction side of it i will post my results.Just to add my room is treated with room acoustic foam too.I have bass traps set up in corners and a cloud above my desk,i had to compromise with my mrs so she has a massive fish tank bang near my desk hence why i have never set it up properly.

Nice cheers. My room isn't properly treated, leading me to mix mainly on headphones, then compare on different systems.

I'm just interested to know if it is a viable alternative to room treatment.

No there is no alternative to a properly treated room, there has been many a debate about if room correction units are fit to do the job decent acoustic treatment can do and you will get a lot of mixed responses.I read a debate on gearslutz between the guy i got my treatment from and a few other members and the outcome was the ergo unit should only be used to aid because although it is good at what it does it isn't perfect so treatment will probably be a better option then if the room is still giving you shit you should then look at room correction too.I bought mine because i got a krk pakage deal and the ergo came with it.The bass traps from gik are really good and very big for the low price they are sold at.Look at this first and then read up.I think the problem is how do you know where the problems are in your room? There is a good video online that shows you how to find the standing waves and whatnot with a mic, speakers and pinknoise veryvery informative for anyone willing to get into the science of it.If i find it i will post it although i'm pretty sure i already have.
