how do I play my MINIAK thru ableton? what do I need?

I have an akai miniak and ableton. How do I get my Miniak to play through ableton so that what i normally hear from the miniak is recorded in ableton?

You need an audio interface, which then sends the audio into ableton.

A good audio interface which is affordable and has great features is the focusrite saffire series. google it.

nothing special, just a cable to connect it to the input of your audio interface. if you have a generic soundcard, look for a blue input jack labeled line in (and do invest in a better audio interface). if you have something better just find the appropriate input.
