Im talking about the trancy sound that peaks in energy around 10 or 11 seconds, sounds like its under a low pass filter. Can anyone help me figure out the rest?

so 1 oscilator set to saw, with a lowpass filter chorus and reverb. (Why did you say with saw little chorus???) Does it matter if the reverb and chorus are before or after the low pass?
Also, what synth would you recommend using to make this?

it definitely matters, but the choice is yours.
the order of effects is important. see which one u like better for this scenario

After the lowpass I guess. Any synth works for this but I think all the trancey synths (z3ta, Nexus) should have presets like this, which will make it easier. Don't forget delay also.
EDIT: Massive Patch -

I made a mistake where I used the same envelope for amp and filter, but was too lazy to go back

Play some chords, play with the first macro control, the envelope 4 settings (the filter env is the key in this sound), the filter and the delay. You can get pretty close. Also, check the Voicing (Unison) and OSC (the Restart Via Gate option) to find what you like most.

awesome thanks for the great advice, i tried the massive patch but it does not open for me... is it usually in that format? all my massive patches are .ksd files.

You must have the older version. There's no way to save as KSD in the new one, as far as I know. I will take a screen shot and upload it tomorrow arround this hour.

Oh sorry, I forgot about this thread, I'll screen it later this evening. It was in Massive 1.3.0 I think.
