APPLEBLIM (Aus | Applepips | Skull Disco) - 2 HOUR SET!!
Appleblim first started making waves back in 2005 when he linked up with a very unique producer called Shackleton and began what is now one of the most important record labels to have emerged from the Dubstep/Bass music scene. Skull Disco was set up to show case their trademark deep and tribal take on Dubstep. Ten vinyl releases and two cd compilations later, Skull Disco was laid to rest so the pair could work on solo projects.
In 2007, Appleblim began his sublabel Applepips so he could indulge his taste in a broader spectrum of dance music (their mission statement reads "Apple Pips has been set up to explore the areas between dubstep, techno, minimal & house with an emphasis on echo, depth, swing and bass"). After a successful first year of business for the label and a constant string of live shows, Appleblim was asked to pen the 6th installment of the infamous Tempa Dubstep Allstars cd series, catapulting him from a force to be reckoned with to one of the most important faces in the UK's dance music scene.
Since then the label has gone from strength to strength with releases from huge names like T++, Sven Weisemann, Pearson Sound, Martyn, Instra:mental as well as rising talents Arkist, Orphan101, KidKut, Greena and Brackles.
Whilst his dj sets have become more experimental, he has always kept one foot on the dancefloor, ensuring that his dj sets are of the highest quality, dynamic and exciting. Appleblim is a true music superstar in the works!!
