Yo, any other guitarists on here? If so what's your setup like/what tunes or style do you like playing/how long you've been playing?
I've got a Ibanez prestige 1570, an ibanez RGA8, and a line 6 15W spider 3 (i know dude).
I like Death metal, and acoustic stuff, especially animals as leaders. I can play any faceless tune, and a few AAL ones.
I've been playing about 5 years now, and i think i'll continue for many years, as it makes me happy.
Any others that would like to come out of hiding?

Prolly quite a few guitarists here. Been playing about 7 years. Haven't been picking her up as much the last year or so though. Every once in a while I'll record some for a track and jam for hours. Been meaning to get back into it though, practicing is on my todo list. I think next year when I'm around all my musician friends I'll be playing more.
As for gear I've got an Epi Les Paul studio deluxe in wine red (plus other random assorted noob guitars)

Gt-Pro and FC300
No amp cause I'm gay like that.

I've got an Epihone SG copy which mainly hangs on my wall... it's got a nice sound and action, but it's ALWAYS going out of tune and my amp needs replacing really. I used to love playing electric, but I kind of lost patience with it around the same time as I discovered synths... they cover my loud noise requirements now!
My life-partner is my Takamine acoustic, though... I'm not that great at playing and I mainly just use it to annoy my flatmates singing folk songs or pretending I'm a male Lauryn Hill, but it's seen me out of some proper low moments. It's the only posession of mine I'd miss on a desert island.

You're ravishingly sexy and also have produced some of the finest examples of both rapping and singing? Or like having loads of babies and have become reclusive?
Edit: realized that sentence was carried on from the line before. Mr. Hearty Smiles there fucked up your spacing.

Don't play it nearly as much as I should. I have one of those cheap Vox modelling amps but mainly just jam on Amplitude if I'm honest.

Yeah, the "pretend" was pretty important in that sentence; it was a confession not a boast!

What are those 808 button looking things under the bridge near the knobs?

Here's mine
Have a few effect pedals (big muff is the one) and a decent vox practice amp. Would love a Blackstar ht but still too expensive atm.
I can play easy - medium songs well enough. Mostly just play rock (Muse, QOTSA, Zeppelin, Black Keys). Shredding and jazz fusion is just never gonna happen, I'm happy playing songs with a few chords and easy enough leads. Haven't been playing as often sadly and I was probably better a year ago or so, used to be able to play round 50 - 100 songs, now I can barely play through 5.
I need to be in a band to push myself to improve cause I can't be arsed otherwise.

yeah its these ridiculous pickup configuration buttons... all kinds of old school tones
not that many f them sounded all that good, mind you
its just a rarity, collector type thing with a distinct sound
I don't have a clue what buttons do what.. but they're all labeled.
it reminds me of those electric organs with all the switches for reeds, pipes, etc
same material on the switch board
