I feel you! I browse place to see what is poppin, there's a Swamp81 thread and a Deep Medi thread, i also keep my eyes on Boomkat and Chemical and search up labels.
I found a way to get piece of mind for years and left the hell alone, turn a deaf ear to the cellular phone

Can anyone recommend some good blogs? Haven't found many about the sounds we love here.

I read DSF, I watch my favorite labels on Juno and Beatport, I'm subscribed to artists and labels on Facebook, and I'm on the mailing list of a bunch of labels, plus a few sites like GetDarker

i go to the forest behind my house, when i hear the sound of natural sticks at a particular speed... i know that a new srebme breaks tune has been released.

It's the spirit of lord ivacep, who lives within the trees, releasing new genres of music every few months, each including a new bpm and a new part of nature.

Great question. Personally I keep a little notebook and just write down all the releases forthcoming, label, artist, tunes, and the release date. If no release date has been stated yet I'll just leave a little spot for it. This works really well for me, kind of like a checklist type deal. I check the forums daily for all the newest info and what not. Check twitter too, great way for info.

Depends what aspect of the sounds you are into but I'd mostly recommend Hedmuk for good "proper" dubstep and Night Tracks leaning more towards the future garage and eclectic side of things, both very-well written.

Check the Tunes & Releases forum, few blogs like Hedmuk, LifeCrushed, etc., follow the artists on facebook/soundcloud, constantly checking the forthcomings and new releases on places like redeye, chemical, juno, etc.

You'll soon build up a list of trusted labels and labels that are similar to those. For me, if I hear a track I might like, I'll check it out, then check out the label, see who else has released, check out their releases, check out the label, and repeat x infinity.

Also, big up Cogi for the kind words, only just spotted those there.

i only pay attention to shops, beatport, bleep, juno, chemical, boomkat, redeye et. when i get new vinyl , i like it to be some new music, not something i heard 4000 times already through youtube, radio shows etc...imagine my delight at hearing enter dimensions for the first time on a a brand new slab of wax a few weeks ago.
