Well it seems Loefah has fully got back into this groove of pulling out the classics for when he's on a dmz lineup and im so fucking glad he has. I know he went through a phase of pushing his swamp 81 sound for like an hour then Coki and Mala would mash up the dance with the dmz classics but to now see them all go b2b2b is just epic.
Take last night for example. Dmz Leeds. Loefah's selection was too much. Drawing for so many classics like Poison Dart (that nearly brought down the place), a handful of Skream classics and of course his own tunes such as Rufage, Goat Stare and his Jah War remix. But what summed it up for me was... Eyez VIP into WoooGlut. and it worked perfectly. How?! Fuck knows.
I think the only thing i could ask of Loefah now really would be to make some more of his tunes that so many of us love. To see a dmz release built by Loefah again would be absolutely immense.
nuff respect for 'The General'

sounds massive!
seen loefah at dmz #6 and it wasn't overwhelming - he played mainly (just?) swamp stuff...

this time last year thats what he was doing. He did it at Outlook 10 if i recall? But the last couple of dmz's ive been to hes gone back to his roots and his dmz outlook set (considering Swamp81 had their own stage in the moat) was also large. Hope this continues.

I saw Loefah b2b Mala a couple of months ago and he played nearly no Swamp stuff. He played Rufage, the I Remix and tunes like that

Last night in Leeds was so good. Would love to have audio from the whole night, my memory of most if it is lacking!

Yeah, he did. For me, at that time, it was the worst set of the night. Couldn't leave the arena though coz you would't have got back in otherwise.

Loefah coming back would be like when stone cold came back after being hit by a car driven by Rikishi.

I saw him in November and he played 1 1/2 hrs Swamp stuff and then 30 mins of classics. Think it was pretty similar to the first half of his Outlook set. Definitely seems like he's getting back into the sound. Well, I hope.

I love the swamp 81 stuff, but his set last night was ridiculously good! much more fitting for a DMZ night as well

That's what happened when Loefah played at Cielo here in NY on the 13th this month. He played 2 hours of Swamp 81 material and for the last hour he played some dubstep classics. I love the Swamp 81 sound, but Id rather hear dubstep classics all night.
