mixngs tight man, enjoyed the mixing aspects, tracks aren't all my thing, but the mixing is good, don't really have any real criticism, mixing was tight, tunes aren't my thing, but i didn't hate them, good work :w:

EDIT: a lot of the whole surprise thing going on, i always like that, haha, going back to my mix for a second, i guess that's the thing, some of those tracks just work in sync riding them together, and some don't, all based on experimentation.

good mix man

cheers dude! thanks for listening.

yeah i know the songs probably arent your thing... I'm a very vocal mixer and I am influenced by a lot of styles...

and going back to your mix (as you mention experimenting to see what songs can be played with each other:
I don't know if you've been told about this or if you know the technique but have you heard of key matching? when you are picking what songs to mix, you look at what key signature it is ... generally if you match 2 songs of the same bpm and key signature (or relative minor/major or sometimes any note in the major or minor chord), you will stand a better chance of pulling good mix / mash of those 2 songs, riding the 2 songs together. that's the technique i use mainly. I hope that helps man!

Real nice mix lad. Big ups.

How do you find the key of the song your mixing?

thanks man :)

there are a couple of ways... depends on how lazy im feeling.

first thing I do is I check beatport... beatport will tell you the tracks key signature before you buy it... its next to the bpm.
after ive bought it, i make sure i put it with all the other tracks of that key signature... aka an "F Major" folder.

Otherwise, I play the track and sit down on a piano and play along until i can work out what key signature the bass line or melody is in! easy :)
