Just wanted to give you a heads up about a Rebel Sonix 55 minute tutorial video in this months Music Tech Magazine - http://www.musictechmag.co.uk/mtm/magazine
The vid focuses on programming in Logic using Ultrabeat. I go in deep in this vid so if you don't feel like you are getting as much out of your drums as you could then defo grab it. It also includes a drum tuning tip you will not find anywhere else cos I invented it!!!
If you aren't familiar with our sound then check this -
The topics covered are -
- choosing the right sounds
- using Ultrabeat's sequencer and full view mode
- adding swing
- routing sounds to separate outputs
- surgical eq and mixing drum hits
- bus compression and parallel compression and routing your drums for maximum gain control
- adding reverb on sends
- a revolutionary technique for tuning your kick drum to the key of ur track - (i invented this one so you won't see it anywhere else!!)
- other stuff i have probably forgotten!!
The tutorial was produced in conjunction with Garnish School of Sound where I also lecture on the Logic and Electronic Music Production courses - http://www.musicproductioncourses.net
Hope you find it useful.
