urm lemme see

asked the bouncer on the way in what they were doing about smoking ban, apparently he was a non smoker because he got very arsey about the cig i was smokin in the queue, i was kinda annoyed because he basically told me that i would have to queue up again if i left for a smoko....

this however was not the case an he was just windin me up, once u got a mark on ur hand u could leave the club with drink in hand an go blaze/smoke/whatever an then come back in without queueing again (and without getting searched again which leads to worrying security questions)

i smoke a lot, espiecially when drinking, this was the 1st proper nite out under the ban, to be honest barely noticed it at all, quite enjoyed getting some fresh london air, then smoking a few with my drink, then back to the dancefloor. didnt notice anyone trying to smoke inside cept weed smoke on dancefloor, didnt see anyone get kicked out for it : )

the other odd thing, is that a lot of pubs seem to be putting fragrances into the a/c units. so the pubs i went to in ealing last nite had a weird artificial pine fragrance.

gonna be so weird raving it up on a dancefloor that smells like a forest, they should pump weed smell or tobacco smell instead, that way itll seem like nothing has changed at all : )

There has been a smoking ban here (Ontario, Canada) for at least 4 years...I think its way better now...you dont feel like a pile of shit at the end of the night. The only time it sucks is during the harsh winter nights...

We've had it in Ireland for a few years now, and (as a smoker) I actually don't mind it in clubs once they have a proper smoking room cos

(a) My clothes don't fuckin reek the next day
(b) You end up meeting loads of the "regulars" at electronic nights - I often go to these on my own as my mates aren't into that kinda music
(c) Adds a more social element to a clubnight, usually you can't have a conversation with anyone cos the music's too loud. Not that I go to clubs to talk, but still, you get what I mean.
