I wanna learn how other people produce/effect chains/EQ'ing techniques etc. and was wondering if anyone was willing to produce showing their screen streaming off of Ustream.

Any takers?

I think I have the whole music part down but I lack a shit ton in the production side of things.

I'm surprised there isn't anyone on here that streams yet.



Off-topic. Any vloggers here also? About music/production and such?

I know most experienced producers are more than willing to help by doing stuff like this, but with streaming, you're also going to eliminate an entire category of people here that don't want to divulge too many of the specifics of their workflow/creative process. Particularly when it comes to polishing a track.

Big Chocolate vlogs everyday, some of the vlogs are from the studio too, and some when he plays live. Cool to watch, even tho I don't like most of his tracks. ( Some of his newer songs are good tho, imo )=

ive been interested in finding someone who does this. it would definitely accelerate my learning

Yeah I hope no one is scared to do this because there isn't really a way to "copy" someones creativity/musical abilities if that's the case.

I realllllllllllly want to see someone EQ their sounds/And how they go about using effects/Sends/Reverb Busses etc. cuz I'm hella confused on that.

@blinkesko yeah dude I actually seen some of his vids and they are good. I actually forgot about them! I'll have to check those vids out again. Not really interested in his music either :\ it's alright. Thanks.

If it comes down to nobody then I'll start doing it to help random noobs. Probably starting Monday or Sunday when the 48 hour comp is done. It'll help me out if I have some viewers....kind of a motivation. But it's going to be the most boring thing ever to watch.

I could do this whenever! But, 2 things.

1. I don't know if anyone would want to watch me...I'm not THAT great at production yet.

2. Someone would have to tell me how to set up my screen so you could watch and stuff...

Google "Xsplit Broadcaster" and download that. That's what people use to stream their pc screen/have a webcam shown at the same time if needed. Then make an account on Ustream and enter it on the Xsplit stuff. Pretty much it. I'd search it up on google about it if you don't know how to set it up.

I'd watch it. I got nothing better to do. And there's a chatbox also to talk to whoever is watching just so you know if you haven't messed with something like this before.

I don't know how much it would help, but if anyone is interested in starting this up as a mega-thread where people notify DSF and ustream whenever they can, I'd love to ustream myself producing

I don't produce great music and I don't have internet connection in my studio, but I could record a video about the production of one my tunes if you want, daekim.

I have internet, but I second the movement of making videos as well as ustreaming, because yeah ustream would be ideal but recording videos is more convenient.

My mastering skills are really close to 0 K.

I'd love to do this, I just feel like it'd be boring as all hell since most of my time is just spent experimenting and dicking around rather than composing a track

On ustream, can't people chat you while you're streaming? So they can like ask you questions?

id definately watch it if someone was upp on ustream. interesting to see how other people go about making their tracks

if i did i think everyone would think ive lost the plot, i talk to myself alot

@Sonika yeah you can chat to whoever is streaming and others that are watching in the chatbox next to the video.
