Hey guys
wanted to use my saffire with my PC moving it over from my imac, however i had it plugged in when I installed drivers so it didnt pick it up, i then uninstalled it all and re did it and it still wont pick it up, no lights on the sound card or sound it just says searching when i plug it in then tell me drivers cant be found.
Anyone have any ideas on a windows machine? on my mac it was just plug and play...
Its a windows 7 64bit PC, i have tried uninstalling, restarting, reinstall, restart, plug in and still had issues so i am lost on what to do and dont really want to format the whole pc!
Thanks for any tips

Yup as said, go to the website for 64bit drivers (If I remember rightly the drivers on the CD are only 32bit)

What makes you think that it doesn't work with a 64 bit OS? I am using mine on windows 7 64 bit without any problems. When I was installing it I was reading the manual as I went to make sure I didn't screw anything up and it said something like "please ensure that you run the installer before connecting the device" a bunch of times in bold, so it possibly caused some problem other than just having to reconnect it after.
What I would try is (note: you have probably heard or tried all of this advice, but try it diligently in case you missed something when you did it).
1. Unplug the device from your computer
2. Go to the control panel > programs > uninstall and use the windows uninstaller. Search "Focusrite" and for me it comes up with all the drivers, files, and manuals that came off of the disc. Uninstall them.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Keeping the device unplugged, run the installer again. Personally, I would try use the disc that came with it to install everything (if it is at all possible in your case), and then go to the focusrite website to make sure that the drivers installed are the up to date ones. Mine was new enough that the drivers it came with were the up to date ones. If they aren't, install the new ones. I am pretty sure I remember the focusrite website popping up some sort of installer which is good because it means it does it all for you.
5. Restart your computer.
6. Plug in the device, see if it works. If it still doesn't work, make sure it works with your mac so it isn't something stupid like a faulty cord.
If that still doesn't work, try customer support. Also, I have the PDF manual if you were interested at all, I could try putting it on rapidshare or something for you if you wanted it.

Hi thanks for the help but this is exactly what I tried after i also read the manual. It works fine with my macs on retrial. the problem seems to be that when its plugged into the pc it dosent associate the drivers with the soundcard it just says it wasnt installed properly and I cant use it. I am using the correct drivers and they are all installed fine and as indicated in the manual : /

if you hvae your drivers on your computer and they just arent putting 2 and 2 together, got to your device manager with it plugged in, right click it if its in there, click update driver, and you can show windows what drivers to use for the saffire. Thats what i had to do for my mpk midi controller.

i did try this, however it dosent seem to let me point it, i showed the path on the C drive to the USB Audio Drivers folder and it just seemed to think there was nothing there despite me clearly seeing the files when i navigate to them in the regular browser window : /

ok guys, got it to work. no idea how just constant multiple reinstalls!
Question though, I am getting a sort of feedback noise from my speakers, a low level interference and also a higher pitch interference when i move my mouse around.
Anyone have any ideas about this? On my mac they were silent all the time.
