things that please me visually, like nice views etc.
i find that if i produce when i'm looking at a real nice view, what i see in that view is reflected in my music.. (in a way.)

haha so were all about the same creatively then. I think whats helped me the most is caffeine. RedBull makes me unbelievably creative for some reason when monster does not. It does just not even close to red bull. And I agree with Bluey as well. I was on my home from colorado after a massive snow storm. I drove home to So Cal through Utah and I watched the sky catch fire and seeing all of the snow wit the sunset and just straight up openess got me to make this like really emotional type song. I listened to it a few days later and I was like, "Damn. Thats emo." lol And the strong desire to improve is mostly what inspires me.

^haha. There is this fine line where I get better at coming up with ideas when I'm drinking. Its like past buzzing, just hit tipsy, but then a beer later I get sloppy. lol

Seeing the amount of work put in by the top guns out there.

Just read through the QNA of Noisia again over at DOA and it was so inspiring just to read how many hours they put in to get these sort of sounds and how they aren't looking for some kind of shortcut or "that'll do" type thing, they'll keep going till they get the sound they are after.
