Both machines have been discussed here already but I'm still unsure which one to pick.
Microkorg is cheaper and yet wicked for the price.
The only "bad" thing I heard about the Evolver is it being more complex to handle.

if i was you id buy the micro korg as its cheaper the sound quality is heavy and the disign is so user freindly.
plus you get a midi keyboard.
the korg is worth buying just for the vocoder alone.
value for money = microkorg

hmmm...

two different animals all together really. The micro-Korg keys are so small, I found it hard to play. some good sounds on that piece.

but the Dave Smith is badass! you just need a midi controller to use it, and it is for a bit more advanced users.

but IMHO the evolver is a better synth

Alright, found a cheap 2nd-hand Microkorg. Gotta sample the hell out of it and when I've a bit more money, replace it by an Evolver.

The Evolver has 2 analog and 2 digital oscs, with analog filters. So it's both analog and digital.
