Flattr

Post by nitz » Mon Mar 12, 2012 12:29 pm

I know this directly does not relate to music production, but it's a platform for us hence i've placed the thread here.

Has anyone checked Flattr?

https://flattr.com/

It a platform for producer, amongst other media people, to show appreciate from a tune you like for example, which gives the user a profit.

Check out the video... what do you think ?

This may make Flattr a lot of money (PAY them to hold your money until/unless you click on something, and if you don't they get to keep it, and charge you again next month?!)...

...but artists & bloggers None. Cents, if that.

 Pass.

i've read about this before (what.cd uses flattr - just sayin) and i think it's a good idea. would be cool if everyone could do it, and send a few pennies to the creator a of a track there or something. it works a similar way to facebook likes, yeah? you could add it to youtube/soundcloud etc and invite anyone to flattr you

yeah flattr stands to make a lot of money out of it but that's the middleman for you. if it means you make some more money than you otherwise would have out of platforms that aren't currently making you any, for minimal effort on your part...
