What's up guys,

I'm Greg, 18 and from the UK. I've just put up a current version of one of my tracks called Enter The Night. I'm not really sure of what kind of sub-genre it is, but when I was making it it reminded me of Kill The Noise (and dare I say it, Skrillex?)

This is my first post here and I'm not really sure what reaction I will get.

Here's the link:

Cheers,

Greg.

add more to the beat
it`s so unrythmical, all this stop start stop start nonsense, it`s just too much
don`t loose focus of the fact that it`s dance music and therefore needs to be danceable

The beat is incredibly weak...

Bring the kick and snare up a bit, EQ the higs and high-mids better so they don't drown everything.... The ideas are great, but the mixing needs a lot more work.

Keep at it!

Thanks for listening gents, much appreciated. I definitely follow up on the feedback.

To make the best more interesting would you suggest more percussive elements and effects?

Definitely more percussion.
I`d say the stop go feel of the track really detracts from any kind of beat.
Focus more on your beats and try to incorporate the midrange.
Rather than all midrange and minimal beat.

Try to time your beats and mid-range cuts.
EQ everything to reduce clashing frequencies.
