Liking the vibe of this tune, but the snare sounds very tinny and is sitting a bit too high in the mix, making the somewhat pedestrian programming of it's hits all the more noticeable. Nice l-to-r panning effect on the shimmery synth.

Mixdown on this tune lets it down...the mid range is dominated by the plastic-y snare, and the whole beat feels like it's lacking something in the lower frequencies.

Wub I wish I had your ears. I'm loving the deep vibes, the sub flow once it kicks in and the percussions sounds nice and crisp to me. I think the sidechainy chords are too far in front, personally. Definitely following you.

Check out my latest if you'd like and can spare a moment:

shit man i listened to half of that tune thinking the kick was the snare and the snare was a hat :?

Cons:
Speaking subjectively here, I feel like the tune is quite empty and could do with some subtle pads being bought in at key points in the structure, try minor triads ~ i vi v (1 6 5) or something.

The flow of the tune should switch up more too in my opinion, changing up the elements slightly at each 16/32, basically more thiongs need to be bought in/taken out and more variantion in general. I kept 'hearing' when things should have happened but it ended up just repeating.

The tune sound like its missing a big chunk of content in the lows 80 - 300Hz, nothing there really. The sub is extremely low and the drum track is oddly high pitched, you have elements in the mids/upper mids and highs and then a very low sub and a big gap in between, sorting that should be a priority.

Pros:

The groove is really nice and the sound design on the drum track is really good, the elements are very crisp and defined (allthough sitting in the wrong frequency spectrum to give them apropriate weight for their intended role in the tune).

The sound design of the different elements overall is wicked with the sounds being well picked and placed together.

Thanks for your input turnipish thoughts. Im gna take everything you have said on board and think about it more when making my next track to try and get it sounding more full from low end to high end. i was going for the repetitive style but i can see now it proberbly would of worked a bit better if i had changed it up slightly.
Thanks for the pros comments aswell :)

Love that style of dub that uve made on blunt-dub.. the only thing i would of changed is a bit more variety in the kick n snare cos its got the same drum pattern through the whole track but thats just my opinion.... other than that it sounds sik
